POTS (disambiguation)POTS — Rather than fighting over what "POTS" should redirect to, let's just put the dab page there. —DragonHawk (talk|hist) 13:08, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Weak Support. Every incoming link to POTS at the moment is intended for Plain old telephone service, and I would also personally consider that to be the primary meaning. However, if there's a significant body of opinion that considers the medical condition to be equally significant, this gives us no obvious primary meaning and the move suggested should be implemented. In any case, the existing links need to be updated... Tevildo (talk) 22:42, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • Support — An unstable redirect is a pretty good sign of ambiguity, so the disambiguation page should go there. And the incoming links fixed. --Una Smith (talk) 07:25, 9 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • Weak support. I originally reached POTS because I didn't know what it meant (I'm British) so for it to be a disambiguation page itself would have been just fine. However, if in US it is a more widely understood term (telephone) then a disambiguation page might seem intrusive. It does not seem that the syndrome is the dominant use of POTS. [1] claims the abbreviation for an alternative name for the syndrome is PoTS ("postural tachycardia syndrome", lower case O) but I do not know how this should be considered. • Weak oppose I think the telephone version is primary usage, but a dab page is fine by me. 76.66.192.35 (talk) 06:12, 13 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Page views for 2009 to date:

In terms of page views, there is no primary topic. Also, there is a cluster of articles related to Plain old telephone service; to facilitate disambiguating incoming links, I have added two related articles to this dab page. --Una Smith (talk) 15:16, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
