They'll probably be removed in the next few hours. The D800 is being officially announced as we speak—in fact, Nikon Brazil has already issued a press release that's made it (in translated form) to any number of English-language sites. We should get the official word from other Nikon subsidiaries any moment now. — Dale Arnett (talk) 02:31, 7 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Update: Turns out that wasn't from Nikon Brazil. It was apparently Nikon's official Japanese press release, translated into Portuguese and posted on a Brazilian site. — Dale Arnett (talk) 03:50, 7 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Pre-release rumors/development edit

Paragraph starting:

"The camera was rumored..."

The speculation regarding the delayed release of the camera aren't very relevant now that it's been announced officially. Should that entire section be removed? Filemeaway (talk) 09:21, 7 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Rear screen: dots or pixels? edit

There is sthg wrong about pixels or dots in the rear screen description in the right column. 921K dots are 921K pixels, I dont see how it can be equivalent to 307K pixels as written By the way, Nikon always talk about pixels for their rear screen. I think we should delete this conversion in pixels. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Charliecorgan (talkcontribs) 12:40, 9 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Weather sealing could use more detail edit

Magnesium alloy weather-sealed body comparable to D700, but considered less robust than D4.

Umm, okay. The D700 article says exactly zilch.
