Harry Grimmanger edit

The following sentence was removed, as it does not seem very important.

One of the 1983 'Huskers, Harry Grimmanger, now is a assistant principal at Millard West High School in Omaha, Nebraska.

edit

The "N" logo currently in use is in definite need of replacement. I imagine this task better suited for someone more familiar with Nebraska's visual guidelines than myself, otherwise I'd take it on. jareha 18:30, 19 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Other Sports edit

Although football is clearly the most popular sport in Husker Athletics, I think it's appropriate to give some information regarding the other popular teams at UNL. With the recent success of Nebraska volleyball, baseball, wrestling, and bowling teams it seems that the term Cornhuskers has found much more identity outside of football.

In my opinion there should be subjects on: Nebraska Football, Nebraska Volleyball, Nebraska Baseball, Nebraska Wrestling, Nebraska Bowling, Nebraska Basketball (mens and womens)

Conflicting dates edit

Under the football headline, one sentence claims all games have been sold out since 1962, while another says 1969. Does anyone know which it is?--Nate Dawg 14:21, 19 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's 1962. – Swid (talk | edits) 20:09, 20 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

November 3rd 1962... I believe I was previously mistaken and put up the 1969 date. The first sellout of the streak was in fact Nov. 3rd, 1962, against the Missouri Tigers, however I am uncertain as to who won the game.--Cornhusker1225 19:12, 19 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

That was the date that Nebraska lost its homecoming game to Missouri. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.109.162.34 (talk) 22:35, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

NIT Champs?! edit

Is there any reason why Nebraska's NIT Championship in 1996 is omitted on the team honors section for Men's basketball? Cornhusker1225 16:37, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fans Section edit

I must admit my bias on this setion. I attempted to clean it up to meet Wiki standards for neutrality and for using verifiable sources. The link to huskers.com now shows that it is a self proclaimed title and a backing sentence about the placement at the stadium includes a link to an ESPN article. --Big Merl 02:11, 19 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Coaching change edit

The line:

"The most recent Husker coach was Bill Callahan, (after being fired by interim Athletic Director Tom Osborne on November 24, 2007); the previous three coaches were Frank Solich, Tom Osborne, and Bob Devaney."

Is confusing, I will try to reword it and post it as a suggestion here, but don't have the time at the moment. Any suggestions? It seems to say that Callahan is both the previous and current coach. It's just...awkward sounding.

Big Ten? Not yet!! edit

The first paragraph of the article says that they are a member of the Big Ten. While this is currently rumored to be in the works, it hasn't happened yet! 99.231.38.50 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:58, 10 June 2010 (UTC).Reply

Thanks; I've corrected it. We just semi-protected the article because it's been incorrectly edited a lot today and these kind of errors keep getting introduced by well-intentioned but overeager editors. ElKevbo (talk) 05:08, 10 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
I've been listening to the regents meeting online and they have just voted to apply to the Big 10. Wschart (talk) 19:25, 11 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
