Picture edit

Page could really use a photo of Marple. Anyone got anything suitable?? --Sgkay 07:53, 17 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

All Saints School edit

The link to All Saints School takes you to the wrong site. All Saints in Cheadle Heath is not the All Saints in Marple so I swithced it on 2 Nov 06.

Size edit

Can someone please tell me how large Stockport is? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.17.182.224 (talk) 19:33, 8 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, the Stockport article covers it pretty well, unless there's further information you need? --Oscarthecat (talk) 19:35, 8 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

– This would appear to be the primary topic. There is a small place in Pennsylvania and a historical place in Nebraska [1]. Apparently the surname doesn't derive from this place but that appears to have been doubted and we don't have an article on it yet anyway. Crouch, Swale (talk) 09:26, 15 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Oppose, same really, if anything Marple should go to the tv show or character and this article stay the same. Szzuk (talk) 08:42, 21 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. Given the existence of Miss Marple. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:52, 22 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Town or village? edit

Marple has two railway stations and a population of over 20,000. By my reckoning that makes it a town. It's a former urban district and is referred to as a town throughout the article. User:Kingfiisher appears to believe it's a village. Any thoughts? Keen to avoid an edit war. "Small town" might be an acceptable compromise in the lede.
