edit

Chris, as I say, my edit was half-hearted, since your article is trivial in the extreme. The text "the first time that one deceased artist had replaced another at number one" is just crying out to have an exclamation mark added in order to complete the joke. To add a little weight to the article, consider drawing on the comments made by the media and in particular, academia as this is WP's preference. Also consider an associated category with which you can tag the related articles. I shan't be returning, so no need to reply. Uniplex (talk) 09:04, 9 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Possible move?

edit

I'd like to propose moving this article. I think it's important that the article's title specify exactly on which chart these singles were number one (i.e. the UK Singles Chart). Personally, I'm also not really a fan of having "UK" in brackets like a disambiguator, when it's actually an important aspect of the list. I'd like to propose moving this article to List of posthumous number ones on the UK Singles Chart (currently a redirect). Any thoughts? I have no objection to that as long as all the other UK number ones lists are moved as well to match.... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 15:03, 29 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
I think most (if not all) of the other UK Singles Chart number ones lists have also been moved to match. Thanks very much Chris! A Thousand Doors (talk | contribs) 17:40, 29 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Pre-emptive note

edit

You'll Never Walk Alone might qualify for this list tomorrow. I have no doubt that the table will be updated if necessary, but it might be worth checking that the lead remains up-to-date. —WFCFL wishlist 09:15, 15 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Is that the Gerry & the Pacemakers version? If so, then as far as I know only one member of the band (the drummer) is dead - would it then truly qualify as a posthumous number one........? -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 07:57, 16 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
Although as it wasn't even in the top 40 on Wednesday's midweek chart update, it's almost certainly a moot point..... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 08:00, 16 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
