Kangilinnguit and Pituffik, settlements vs. stations

In the data for populated localities on the Statistics Greenland site, Kangilinnguit is listed as a Station, not a settlement, yet it is included in the Wikipedia cities & towns list. Pituffik also has a substantial population and is also listed on the Statistics Greenland site as a Station, but it is not included in the Wikipedia cities & towns list - in fact, it's listed as an abandoned settlement. Does anybody know why this has been done this way? Should Kangilinnguit be removed from the cities & towns list? Stamptrader (talk) 12:34, 5 September 2013 (UTC)

Has Inuit completely replaced Danish?

From this list it appears that every settlement has discontinued using its former Danish name in favor of an Inuit name. Is there any place still using its Danish name? 199.46.200.231 (talk) 20:43, 21 May 2014 (UTC)

Danish names are listed in the Former Names column of the table. I would propose making a separate column for Danish names. Also, does the article really need to list all spellings with "aa" from before the 1917 spelling reform seperately. Dr. British12 (talk) 17:14, 27 June 2017 (UTC)

Why two articles?

There are two articles: "List of cities and towns in Greenland" and "List of cities and towns in Modern Greenland." (This is the talk page for both.) Why two articles? They're nearly identical. Shouldn't they be merged? Omc (talk) 22:24, 15 December 2017 (UTC)

There's also List of cities and towns in Greenland before 2008, which seems to essentially duplicate this article. It would make sense if it was "list of cities and towns in Greenland in antiquity", but why 2008? Did something happen in 2008? -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 19:27, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
