      Monochrome

This question also applies to the monochrome versions of Kodak's later DCS cameras, and has bugged me for a while. Did the monochrome versions use Bayer-style demosaicing, or were their sensors along the same lines as the Foveon X3 concept, whereby each pixel on the sensor mapped directly to a pixel value in the file? If this is the case, does it mean that the monochrome version of the six megapixel DCS 460 has a resolving power higher than the six megapixel colour version? -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 21:49, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
