Fair use rationale for Image:Iiui logo.jpg edit

Image:Iiui logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:58, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have removed some names of non-notable people from the list of alumni/degree holders of this university. Please, dont add such names, only people who are bona fide alumni with already existing Wikipedia articles/pages of their own. Thank you. AsadUK200 (talk) 17:47, 1 September 2014 (UTC)AsadUK200Reply
Hello, please see my edit comment above. I would also request please dont add * Long named lists of non-notable people merely as 'management' and 'admins' of the institute, since that doesnt really serve any real purpose, officers are changing all the time and its not always easy to keep pace with such changes or update such information: and ** please, dont make long claims or list names of magazines, journals and similar publications etc without providing adequate proof. I have made some changes and removed some information, as above, too. I have also removed some websites listed under the 'references' column and this is not the proper place for them, if you do want to add more such links, please do so under the 'External links' category. Requested move 4 May 2024 edit

International Islamic University, IslamabadInternational Islamic University – Definitely WP:PRIMARYTOPIC as International Islamic University already redirects here. There is no other university solely titled "International Islamic University" (IIU) except this one per it's website [iiu.edu.pk]. It's official name does not include "Islamabad' in it (الجامعة الإسلامية العالمية, romanized: al-Jāmʿia al-ʾIslāmiyya al-ʾĀlamiyya). The universities in the disambiguation contain an extra-letter such as IIUM, IIUC, UniSHAMS e.g. Only this one, in Islamabad, contains only IIU. LolingTom (talk) 15:19, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Support: But honestly, you could have just boldly moved this. It already redirects, and the current form is clearly just unnecessarily disambiguated. Iskandar323 (talk) 21:04, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
