Errors on this page edit

I am a representative of Imperial Brands plc. There are two fundamental errors on this page: the name of the CEO, which is Alison Cooper and not Alison Miles; also the fact that Gudang Garam is a subsidiary (it's not).--95.138.204.36 (talk) 14:24, 6 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Edit Request edit

Hello - I wish to make a request for several edits in order to update this article. I am requesting on behalf of Imperial Brands, so I disclose that conflict of interest.

Change 1 – The predecessor in the infobox to be changed from "Ardath Tobacco Company" to "W.D and H.O Wills"

Change 2 – That "Dominic Brisby and Joerg Biebernick (Joint Interim CEOs)" be removed from Key People as they are no longer with the company, and "Thérèse Esperdy (chairperson)" and "Stefan Bomhard (CEO)" be moved to the top of the Key People list.

Change 3 – The Products section in the infobox to be updated to remove "snuff", which the company does not manufacture or sell anymore, and to include products which it does – "Cigarettes, cigars, fine-cut rolling tobacco, rolling papers and tubes, snus, vapes, heated tobacco, oral nicotine."

Change 4 – In the opening sentence of the first paragraph, for it to state "headquartered in London and Bristol", with London being the addition to the sentence. This source confirms this- https://www.standard.co.uk/business/office-days-average-weekly-working-patterns-ftse-100-companies-exclusive-b1059365.html

Change 5 – Statistics in paragraph two to be updated to the following: "Imperial Brands has 51 30 factories worldwide and its products are sold in over 160 around 120 countries. Its brands include Davidoff, West, Gauloises, Blondes, Montecristo, Golden Virginia [...]" This source verifies this - Annual Report 2022, currently citation [1] on the article.

Change 6 – A new paragraph to be added below paragraph two, in order to mention missing relevant products: "Imperial Brands also have expanded their product range in recent years to include alternative nicotine products, including the blu vape brand, the Pulze and iD heated tobacco system, and the Zone X and Skruf nicotine pouches."

Change 7 – update the image caption to read "The former Reemtsma head office in Hamburg, Germany, pictured July 2009". The HQ has since moved from the building pictured; this source verifies this https://www.abendblatt.de/wirtschaft/article237530703/zigaretten-reemtsma-hamburg-warum-der-zigarettenhersteller-zweimal-innerhalb-von-zwei-jahren-umzieht.html

Change 8 – Extend the 2000 to present subsection of the History section to include events since 2019:

In July 2020 Stefan Bomhard, the former Chief Executive of global automotive distributor Inchcape and former President of Bacardi Europe, became Chief Executive of Imperial Brands. (This source may be used - https://www.ft.com/content/cd417bfa-4657-11ea-aee2-9ddbdc86190d)
In 2021 Imperial Brands opened an office in Hammersmith, West London.( https://www.standard.co.uk/business/office-days-average-weekly-working-patterns-ftse-100-companies-exclusive-b1059365.html)
In 2021 Imperial Brands launched the Pulze and iD heated tobacco system in selected European markets. The company has also launched Zone X, an oral nicotine brand, in several European countries. (The Annual Report 2022 (citation [1]) confirms these brands are part of Imperial)
In 2022 and 2023 Imperial Brands launched blu 2.0, an upgrade to its blu vaping device, in the UK and several other countries. (The following source confirms this: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/smokers-crave-alternative-says-imperial-boss-3bcndsfn7)

Change 9 – The image of the Montecristo Cigar and company mention to be removed from the Gallery as they are no longer a brand associated with Imperial Brands.

I hope that these changes are acceptable in achieving a more accurate article. If anybody has any issues or suggestions please leave me a message or comment! Tieddish (talk) 14:47, 23 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Reviewing request. I will take a closer look at the requested changes tomorrow, if anyone else doesn't do so before me. NotAGenious (talk) 18:59, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Tieddish:   Go ahead: I have reviewed these proposed changes and suggest that you go ahead and make the proposed changes to the page. Cherrell410 (talk) 20:14, 3 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you both for your time reviewing this request, I will edit the article now and please feel free to check that you are happy with my work. All the best! Tieddish (talk) 15:23, 4 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
This has now been added to the article. I have made two further changes, not in this request, to address incorrect statistics. The first undid a recent change which confused data on market share with data based on net sales, and the second reports stick equivalent (SE) volumes sold in 2022 rather than cigarette production which is outdated. Please do take a look at these to ensure you are happy with the changes and thank you again for reviewing my request! Tieddish (talk) 16:05, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
