Copyright, WP:COI, and WP:OR Concerns

edit

This article substantially duplicates a document from IBM originally intended for publication. The document does not appear to have been published. I cannot tell whether IBM retained copyright or had copyright to begin with, though the report was written while he was employed at IBM. Whether this version of the document is sufficiently different to allay concerns about Kimelman's possible copyright is another problem.

The WP:COI concern is obvious from the editor's username. The WP:OR concern is, well hey, the editor is the author?! Do the refs offset that?

I think someone knowledgeable with the subject domain would have to judge whether this is a 'puff' piece. This article looks very irregular, though perhaps not fatally. Shenme (talk) 04:33, 28 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
