This appears to leave out... edit

The occasionally to be found on tape version of "Mikado", filmed of the D'Oyly Carte production in -- the early- or mid-60s? It is substantially the same version I saw performed at the Geary Theatre in San Francisco (my first D'Oyly Carte G&S event). Ruined me for every other staging. --djenner (talk) 05:00, 15 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

You missed it. Under recordings it says, "He also appeared in the title role in D'Oyly Carte's 1966 film of The Mikado...." -- Ssilvers (talk) 13:00, 15 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Early career edit

There is surely confusion concerning the reference to the BBC Repertory Company. He may have broadcast while still at school, but could hardly have been on the 'Rep', an extremely busy job. (If it means he broadcast with MEMBERS of the Rep, the wording is very misleading.) -- Rogersansom (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 17:43, 7 December 2009 (UTC).Reply

Also, the Opera magazine interview I have used for some updates states that he sang as a chorister at Worcester Cathedral under Walford Davies. He could of course have been a chorister at Bristol then in Worcester.Cg2p0B0u8m (talk) 00:16, 11 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I notice you added a list of other recordings but did not add a reference. Would you kindly cite your source? The other sources give a slightly different sequence in a couple of instances, but let that pass. -- Ssilvers (talk) 15:58, 11 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
