    • @Ktin: I am so sorry I was looking at this template page via the editor and didn't even notice there was an image attached. I know the image has a PD-India tag on it, but if the image is from 1996 then it's not 60 years old, so I'm not sure how the PD-India tag is valid? I do see it has an unreviewed GODL license on it, but I don't know if that needs to be reviewed to be "properly licensed" per WP:DYKIMG. Let me find out before I comment further, because I honestly do not know the answer at this time. Maybe I'm missing something though, could you explain how the PD-India tag is valid? @Maile66 and Casliber: could you please advise? I think this is the first image I've reviewed and I don't know the correct way to handle this one. - Aoidh (talk) 06:19, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
      • @Aoidh: Not an issue at all. While this was not my upload -- my read of this one is that given the release is from the Indian Government's Publications Division this falls under GODL i.e. Government Open Data License for open use. Ktin (talk) 06:45, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
      • I have the same impression – it appears to be properly sourced to Freedom Fighters Remember, which is a publication of the Indian government. It isn't PD-India, I've removed that tag. theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/they) 17:14, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
        • @Theleekycauldron: Sorry for being overly cautious here, but is that tag "has not yet been reviewed by an administrator or reviewer to confirm that the above license is valid" attached to the GODL license in the Commons file an issue? If not it seems good to go, but I didn't know if the unreviewed status (which I've never seen before) prevents it from being considered "properly licensed" per WP:DYKIMG. - Aoidh (talk) 17:42, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

• Is "Azad" or "Azaad" more common in sources? The lead and infobox differ, and those are the only two uses in the article of this other name.

Reference changes

• Is reference [5] to a book blurb used in place of the actual Congress Radio blurb? If not, consider using shortened footnotes for all the references to Thakkar and specifying page numbers. Several claims cited to the blurb fail verification, as they presumably are in the actual book. This would also replace [8], a book excerpt.

Unfortunately, I do not have the book. Also, checked the local library and they do not have the book either. Any other options here?

• Reference [7] should cite The Hindu as the source (the article is dated 25 August, not 11 September) and then link in the |archive-url= parameter to the archived page.

• Two images. One is GODL-licensed. The other has an appropriate fair use rationale, but I note the rationale states usage in the infobox, and it's not in the infobox (nor is it a good image for there). Both need alt text (not strictly in GA spec, but I tend to ask for it with copy changes to make editors aware about it as a best practice).

Consistency of names

In the lead section you have Nanik Motwane - but in the third para of Background it's Motwani. I know it's difficult to transliterate many names, but may I suggest you pick one and stick with it? Also, the lead mentions Babubhai Thakkar - but in the second sentence of the third para of Background he has become Babubhai Khakhar, and in the next sentence he's Khakar. Thanks for highlighting. This is important to fix, and I will get to having a look later this afternoon.
