Name

Despite a description of the derivation of the name Kalos, no explanation is given of the derivation of Aveo, even though it too has a classical meaning. Does anyone know where it comes from? Rwflammang (talk) 23:53, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

Second Generation

The Chevrolet Aveo won't have a second generation. This is the last model year of it. The Chevrolet Sonic will be out next year, not the Aveo. 68.37.41.158 (talk) 15:16, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

I suggest the article gets split into a Chevrolet Aveo (T200) article and a Chevrolet Sonic/second-generation Aveo (T300) article similar to how the T100 has it's own article. Also because the T300 doesn't share platforms with the T100, T200 or T250.74.218.82.179 (talk) 20:07, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

The T300 does not have enough content to warrant a split. Aveo is the global name now, except North America (Sonic) and Australasia (Holden Barina). As the South Korean home market name (Aveo) is used everywhere else, this should be the title used as per WP:CARS/Conventions. The only reason for separating the T200 is the quantity of information involved. The T100 (Daewoo Lanos) has its own page because it has a different name. Confusing sentence in the lead

This sentence is very confusing:

The second generation Aveo debuted in January 2011, marketed globally as the Chevrolet Aveo;[2][3] in North America, the Middle East, Chile, Israel, Japan, Mexico, and South Africa[4] as the Chevrolet Sonic;[5] and in Australasia as the Holden Barina.

It seems to state that the name "Aveo" is used "globally" except in North America, the Middle East, Chile, Israel, Japan, Mexico, and South Africa where the name is "Sonic". Or it is saying Aveo is used in the listed countries and "Sonic" is left dangling... The only part that is actually both clear and correct is that "Holden Barina" is the Australasian name. I'm South African and I own a Chevrolet Aveo - no other name has ever been used here. We need to rewrite that sentence (preferably split it into three completely separate sentences) to sort out exactly where the "Sonic" name really is used. Where is the real Aveo?

The only model sold in Canada is le Chevrolet Aveo, but the Aveo show here is not the Aveo sold in Canada. The Aveo in Canada is a complete different car, nothin like what is here. Henrilebec (talk) 08:55, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
