Notability edit

hey yall and thus has not had a chance to establish notability. If secondary sources exist then please add them to the article. Cheers Kevin 23:03, 5 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Okay, well, it has aired now . . . Can we still say it's not notable?

Image edit

I hope I didn't screw the article up or anything...

If you have a better title for the image; feel free to change obviously... AllThatThunder 23:14, 9 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

References edit

What reference is being used for the guests in the episode guide? If it is not published, then it should be removed. Kevin 23:52, 14 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I see we have a reference for the episode guide now, although it is not especially reliable (anyone registered can add entries, as far as i could see). Next question is how long should the episode guide be, given that a successful daily show may run to hundreds of episodes?. I can see that soon it will have to be restricted to guests whose appearance was notable of itself. Kevin 04:36, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Really ?? edit

There is no Chuy page because someone didn't think he was notable? Huh? He's a very well-known part of the show.

Sorry to hear that some Wikipedia deletionist has only rabbit ears on their TV, but that doesn't mean Chuy shouldn't have his own entry. 66.251.234.26 (talk) 14:25, 12 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree. Chuy is one of the best people on the show and, after all, he's Chelsea's assistant. He stars along side her in many, if not most, of the occasional sketches and is in every episode. -Skyler 21:52, 23 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

"Asian Adjacent" edit

Should "Asian Adjacent," Chelsea's nickname for Jon Gosselin as given to her by Margaret Cho, be added to Common Quotes Made by Chelsea? -Skyler 06:52, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Her Age edit

After seeing a clip of her and thinking "wow, she looks really old," I came this article and noticed that her age/date of birth is mysteriously missing. Something tells me someone (cough cough her) doesn't want it listed. Someone find it out and post it ASAP.65.247.226.108 (talk) 22:45, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Nevermind. I just realized that this is the page for her show. I thought her last name was "Lately," which, although struck me as a weird last name, obviously went with her nutjob personality.65.247.226.108 (talk) 22:47, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Clean up edit

I've done an extensive clean up to this article because it was filled with loads of repeated info and sections that were, at best, original research. A lot of the content was also overly detailed and bit on the POV side. I also removed a number of the YouTube links used as references because the links were removed from YouTube due to copyright violations. Pinkadelica 05:51, 17 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Request for Comment edit

In an effort to clean up this article, I made some fairly big changes on January 16 which include correcting misspelled words, removing dead YouTube links used as sources, updating the infobox, reformatting bare links, and removing sections that I feel are overly detailed and contain original research (this includes the entire "Host" section and the section detailing what is available on the show's official website). I also removed repeated info and content that I feel was poorly written and structured. The following day, an IP user reverted my edits for no reason. Since that day, Anesleyp and various IPs have repeatedly reverted those changes as well. Anesleyp has now claimed I've made no other changes to the article and all I've done is removed important information from the article. I'd like to know what others think about the sections removed and if the changes made should be reinstated. Pinkadelica 02:04, 21 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

The article as it stands is just littered with problems; it is overly detailed with unbound lists and completely unsourced original research. I would strongly urge Anesleyp to explain her reversions of the cleanup here before making any other changes. Kuru (talk) 13:15, 23 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
I doubt that will happen as Anesleyp (and various IPs that may be Anesleyp logged out) has been reverting any changes made to this article since November 2009. There seem to be some serious ownership issues with Anesleyp and this article that another user also noticed some time ago. To date, Anesleyp's only explanation as to why they reverted the changes I made to the article is because the content I removed is "important". I actually am a regular viewer of the show which is why I know that there's way too much fancruft and personal observations throughout the article. For instance, the entire "Host" section is the writer's POV. The fact that Handler has thrown down an object or two doesn't necessarily make her "known for physical comedy". Pinkadelica 02:58, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have reinstated the changes made to the article since it appears no one else has issue with the article being cleaned up. Once Anesleyp's block for sockpuppetry expires, I would encourage them to discuss the changes made the article instead of simply reverting back to their preferred version. Ratings Confirmation edit

Please note that in the ratings section it has the Aniston show as a series high rating of 1.2 Million then goes on tho say the previous high was Lambert with 1.3 Million. Unless it's new math 1.3 mil is higher then 1.2 mil.

Times aired edit

Noticed in the lead to this article that a time is given when the show airs. I believe someone should establish whether that it is EST or whatever. I'm not knowledgeable, just passing through, (and although I'm an editor (in a totally different section of the en.Wikipedia) I'm unfamiliar with the program, and couldn't guess what times they are. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 09:06, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Cancellation or conclusion? edit

Handler's manager, Irving Azoff, stated that Chelsea will leave E! when her contract expires at the end of the year thus canceling Chelsea Lately. Lack of renewal equals a cancellation? I guess this is a naive question. I always figured in television a cancellation meant a termination, rather than an expiration of contract. What are Chelsea's thoughts on the show's ending this August? Does she want to move on? --RThompson82 (talk) 05:32, 1 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
