- Yes, the England and Wales absence is very peculiar. It talks about Scotland, Canada, and merely says England and Wales is similar to Scotland and Canada. It seems that the progenitor of all these customs should probably contain substantial coverage. My guess is the info is contained somewhere in the edit history, but was kicked out by an editor. Sewanee edit
Yes, Sewanee is something of a sui generis place. It isn't a "city" or a "town" in any sense under Tennessee law but rather an unincorporated place in Franklin County, Tennessee. The entire area that would be considered the traditional campus, the permanent residents' houses and the business district, along with thousands of adjoining acres which are undeveloped forest is referred to as "The Domain of the University of the South" is owned as the private property of the University and hence ultimately by The Episcopal Church. The Chancellor then obviously has a leadership role in the entire community, not merely academic affairs, and hence may have a position somewhat analogous to a mayorality to some extent, but is legally mayor of nothing, as he is neither elected by nor in any way legally answerable to an electorate.2600:1004:B149:29C1:0:45:DBAA:1201 (talk) 19:51, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
