Fair use rationale for Image:Cufos logo.gif edit

Image:Cufos logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The image has bee replaced by File:CUFOS logo.svg, which includes fair use rationale and is of better quality. — QuicksilverT @ 14:42, 13 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Delete Multiple Issues Box? edit

Many of the problems that led to the multiple issues box being placed at the top of the article have since been removed. The advertisement-style wording has been eliminated, including the "Mission Statement" box, and replaced by more neutral wording. Additionally, other sources, including comments by non-CUFOS ufologist James W. Moseley, have been added (Moseley admired Hynek, but was more critical of other people associated with CUFOS, and became critical of the organization itself after Hynek's death). The Skeptical Inquirer has even been cited at the beginning of the article. I would suggest that the multiple issues box can be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.145.229.162 (talk) 18:22, 3 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

crop circles and the ufo phenomenum edit

it is possible that verified crop circles really are a message. to whom, i dont know. however i believe that if verified circles were to be digitized into binary code that a message is there. it would have to be ones that have been proven to be legitmate rather than hoaxed. starting from the first ones recorded up till present time. part of my belief for this is the binary code recieved by the military personel at rendelsham forest in england. after having the code verified by mathematicians and computer programmers as a real message, i think this could ptrovide us more information. 2600:6C67:227F:D95F:804C:8D3B:3A21:44F7 (talk) 18:45, 31 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
