The article currently talks about Art's son continuing "Davy and Goliath," but doesn't even explain Art Clokey's significant involvement in the series. Were chunks of this article deleted? Sojambi Pinola (talk) 15:24, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Grammar corrections

(3rd paragraph of intro) Please replace "In honor for his contribution to clay animation and for celebrating his 90th birthday anniversary, Google doodle of October 12, 2011, was based on his animated clay characters." with "In honor of his contribution to clay animation and for celebrating his 90th birthday anniversary on October 12, 2011, a Google Doodle was based on his animated clay characters.

(Final paragraph of Biography) Please replace "In the mid-90's, Nickelodeon aired every episode of Gumby for it's anchor spots at 8:00 am and 2:00 pm." with "In the mid-1990s, Nickelodeon aired every episode of Gumby for its anchor spots at 8:00 am and 2:00 pm."

Prepare for the traffic

Well Art Clokey just became a Google Doodle, as apparently they are continuing his birthday. Anyway, there is very likely going to be massive amounts of traffic to this article. From other articles where this happens to them, its usually accompanied by lots of Suggest protecting the article or something. Watch for vandalism. Jessemv (talk) 04:28, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

I've moved the homage out of the lede to a less prominent place. Keeping it in for now,

though. I'd save the pruning for when we have an actual excessively long list of references/mentions/homages/allusions/'in popular cultures'.

Slight change to intro

Final line of Biography change

Hey I appreciate your edits on the Art_Clokey page. However, I would just like to let you know that Husnain22 has again reverted changes by another more reputable editor and is vandalizing the page to promote his own website.

It is likely that Husnain22 is actually the owner of the "EventPakistani" website that he is trying to promote, http://www.eventspakistan.com/p/contact-us.html. Additionally, if you view his user talk page he has already been given several warnings for his self-promoting behaviour on Wikipedia. He died in January 2010; he had not yet reached his 89th birthday in October 2010. It is 21 months since his death, or more than "a year later."Dshscalibrary (talk) 22:05, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

Prema's Pokey lawsuit against a child

Wikipedia seems devoid of information on the farcical public relations disaster of the lawsuit by Prema Toy Company against a child nicknamed Pokey (for completely unrelated reasons) over his Pokey.org blog. This received national press coverage (New York Times [1], etc.); got examined in law journals [2]; has been devoted entire chapters in mainstream books like Copyfraud and Other Abuses of Intellectual Property Law [3], and Unusually Stupid Americans: A Compendium of All-American Stupidity [4]; and is a frequently cited example of the Streisand effect, of copyfraud (technically "markfraud"), and of a nuisance lawsuit. I suspect a whitewashing job has been done on these articles by Prema or someone closely connected with them. WP used to have comprehensive information about this. This is actually affecting the Googleability of information about the case – it's getting difficult to find much if you don't know the full case name. It's inclusion here, either directly in the Clokey and Gumby articles, or in its own article, is absolutely encyclopedic. — AReaderOutThataway ^t/_c 03:11, 4 October 2018 (UTC)
