species name?
Acc. to GRIN, Aloysia triphylla is now Aloysia citrodora. NaySay 17:40, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
- We wouldn't have these problems if we just used stable common names instead of those inconsistent scientific names (Just kidding. Mostly). Seriously, ITIS says that Aloysia citriodora is not accepted and Aloysia triphylla is the accepted name. They don't have anything under the spelling Aloysia citrodora. You're right about GRIN, though. I'm not sure what to say, in the absence of further research and/or greater expertise. Kingdon 18:53, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
I'm going have the article moved to Aloysia citrodora. That way, the title of the article will be consistent with both Wikispecies and Wikimedia Commons. In addition, it will conform with Wikiproject Plants guidelines on article titles. Hopefully its taxonomy won't change in the future.--TDogg310 (talk) 15:58, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

Incorrect Google "Snippet"
When searching for "Lemon Verbena" on Google the top result is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aloysia_citrodora. The description or "snippet" is inaccurate or outdated and describes Lemon Verbena as a "psychedelic drug" instead of a "perennial shrub" as in the actual page description.
Here is a screenshot. I'm totally ignorant of how this can be remedied but I wanted to bring it to someone's attention. Thank you and please forgive me and remove this if I've gone about this incorrectly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.169.189.227 (talk) 03:54, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
Little House on the Prairie
This plant has a special place in popular culture: it's the oft-mentioned perfume worn by Laura Ingalls' beloved teacher Miss Beadle on the TV series. It's a major running gag throughout the first season. Any chance this is worhty of a mention? Steveo2 02:35, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
