Taigum is a northern suburb of Brisbane in Queensland in Australia. It is about 13 kilometres north of the Brisbane central business district|CBD. It is predominantly a residential area. The suburb contains a Centro shopping centre, which is similar to another shopping centre in Victoria Point, both of which opened in late 2003.

The Taigum area was first developed around 1891, as part of a subdivision of the Nundah Divisional board. In 1901, it was suggested, unsuccessfully, by the board that the name be changed to "Tyghum Divisional Board". Over 38% of households in this area are couples with children, 40% are of couples without children and 18% are single parent households. Over 61% of residential development are houses and another 25% are townhouses.

Taigum/taigam is from Yuggera language, Turrbal dialect indicating lawyer vine (Calamus) found growing in the area. Refer F.J. Watson. Vocabularies of Four Representative Tribes of South Eastern Queensland. Brisbane, 1944, p.68
