Sturgeon, California

Sturgeon is a former settlement in Merced County, California.^[1] It was located on the 11 miles (18 km) southwest of Hills Ferry.^[1]

A post office operated at Sturgeon from 1884 to 1890, when service was transferred to Ingomar.^[1] The name honored Inis Sturgeon, its first postmaster.^[1]
