St Joseph's Preparatory School is a Catholic coeducational independent school for children aged 3 to 11 in the Stoke-on-Trent suburb of Trent Vale in Staffordshire, England.[1] It was once the prep department of St Joseph's College located nearby and is now a fully independent prep school, although many pupils transfer to the college for their secondary education.[2]
History
St Joseph's Prep was originally the prep section of the nearby St Joseph's College. It was founded by the Christian Brothers from Ireland in 1932 as a boys' school. The main college is now a voluntary aided grammar school while the prep school became independent. Both are now managed by a trust and no longer directly run by the Brothers but still retain the Catholic ethos.
