Sirius XM NFL Radio is a Sirius XM Radio channel on 88 completely dedicated to the National Football League. Its personalities include Marty Schottenheimer, Shannon Sharpe, Pat Kirwan, Adam Schein, Peter King, Ross Tucker, Randy Cross and Bob Papa.
The station is sometimes referred to in promotions as Sirius XM Football Radio, in instances where use of the NFL name would be construed as an endorsement. The channel was previously known as "Sirius NFL Radio", however following the Sirius / XM merger, the channel name was changed. It was added to XM on 2008-09-30 as part of its "Best of Sirius" package and broadcasts on channel 88.
The programming on the Sirius XM NFL channel can often variate, even during the offseason, due to live coverage of the NFL Combine, the NFL Owner's Meetings, the NFL Draft, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremonies. The current NFL radio lineup is as follows:
7 pm ET - NFL Network's Total Access - (Simulcast of NFL Network)
The Weekend Kickoff Saturday 8 am - 11 am ET - Ralph Vacchiano and Dean Dalton
Press Coverage Saturday 11 am - 2 pm ET - Vic Carucci and Dan Leberfeld
Late Hits Saturday 7 pm - 11 pm ET - Zig Fracassi and Keith Bulluck
Chalk Talk Saturday - Various Times - Saturday & Sunday
Press Pass Sunday 8 am - 12 pm ET - Howard David and Vic Carucci
The End Zone Sunday 12 pm - 4 pm ET - Alex Marvez and Jim Miller
NFL Rewind Sunday 4 pm - 8 pm ET - Howard Balzer & Dan Leberfeld
The Sirius XM NFL Radio channel does not actually air games on Sunday afternoons. Instead, it airs The Sunday Drive, which recaps all games being played on Sunday afternoon, while breaking into radio broadcasts of any games where pertinent action is taking place. The games themselves are aired on the reserved play-by-play channels and other channels not being used. The channel instead carries national radio broadcasts produced by the NFL on Westwood One for Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, and the Run to the Playoffs. Through the 2010 season, when games were carried on this channel, the internet simulcast would carry alternative content due to the NFL's Field Pass exclusivity.
