Schistura semiarmata is a species of ray-finned fish in the genus Schistura.[1] A type of stone loach, the fish is found in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu in the Bhavani River, the Seegoor River, and Billicul Lake. It was first described in 1867 by F. Day, who classified it as Schistura semiarmata. It was later reclassified under genus Nemacheilus as Nemacheilus semiarmatus,[2] but Maurice Kottelat returned the species to Schistura in 2012.[1]
