Safita District
Safita District (Arabic: منطقة صافيتا) is a district (mantiqah) of the Tartus Governorate in Syria. At the 2004 Census it had a population of 129,632.[1] The centre of the district is the city of Safita.
Divisions
The district of Safita is divided into six sub-districts or Nāḥiyas (population according to 2004 official census):
- Safita nahiyah (ناحية صافيتا): population 60,172.[2]
- Mashta Al-Helou nahiyah (ناحية مشتى الحلو): population 12,577.[3]
- Al-Barqiyeh nahiyah (ناحية البارقية): population 7,336.[4]
- Sebei nahiyah (ناحية سبة): population 7,614.[5]
- Al-Sisniyeh nahiyah (ناحية السيسنية): population 22,018.[6]
- Ras Al-Kheshufeh nahiyah (ناحية رأس الخشوفة): population 19,915.[7]
