Rana Mohammad Hanif Khan (رانا محمد حنیف خان ) was the 11th Finance Minister of Pakistan from October 22, 1974 to March 28, 1977. He was from the city of [chichawatni,sahiwal which is in the Punjab province of Pakistan. He was the elder son of Ch. Nawab khan who migrated from garhshankar,hoshiyarpur India.
He was barrister at law from Lincoln's Inn, and was an honorable member of the society of Lincoln's Inn. After that he came to Pakistan and start his political career in 1970 with the Pakistan People's Party. He won election twice as an MNA and was appointed to different ministries. Subsequently, he started practice as a lawyer in Sahiwal and become bar president.
He died in 2005 and is buried in the main cemetery of Sahiwal. After his death his nephew, Dr. Rana Naeem ur Rehman started his political career. He participated in the 2008 election and is vice-president of the Pakistan People's Party in Sahiwal district.
