Rab Se Sohna Isshq is an Indian soap opera which is being aired on Zee TV. It is being produced by Jay Mehta's Jay Production.

Plot

Rab Se Sohna Isshq tells the story of a beautiful young girl named Sahiba who is in love with her childhood sweetheart, Ranveer. Ranveer is a smart and career-oriented young man who dreams of getting settled in London. Daljeet, who lives in the same village as Sahiba and Ranveer's families, falls in love with Sahiba at first sight. Daljeet also has a dream of getting higher education in London and developing his hometown. Sahiba and Ranveer's marriage gets fixed, but on the wedding day, Ranveer gets a sudden job offer in London. This makes Sahiba's father angry and he fixes Sahiba's marriage with his friend's son Happy. Sahiba, who thinks that Ranveer has valid reasons for going to London suddenly, decides to go to London in search of him, for which a passport is required. For this, there is one condition that she should be a married woman and therefore, she agrees to marry Happy, but eventually meets Daljeet and marries him. Sahiba elopes from her home with Daljeet and reaches London.

Sahiba lives with Daljeet in London and tries to find out about Ranveer, but did not get any news about him. On the other hand, when Ranveer called his father in Punjab, his father told him that Sahiba got married and is settled in London. Just to meet with Sahiba, Ranveer hits a famous singer and sent the message that he will meet Sahiba in Big Ben. On his way to Big Ben, some goons beat him because of Jazz, which led him to be late. Sahiba thought that Ranveer will not come and cried while hugging Daljeet. Ranveer came and thought that Sahiba is happy with her husband. From there on, Jazz's dad told him to be the bodyguard of Jazz, which led Ranveer to pretend to love Jazz because of her property. He did all that just because he thought that Sahiba left him. Jazz fell in love with him and she knew that Ranveer is after her only because of her money, but it did not bother her and Ranveer and Jazz got engaged.

Sahiba was about to get married to Daljeet when he told her that he loves her but on the day of the marriage Daljeet found out that Ronnie is Ranveer and pecified him and Sahiba only loves him. Ranveer went to the marriage and stopped it and Sahiba went back with Ranveer to his house. After going there she found out that she loves Daljeet truly. She left Ranveer for Daljeet and then Daljeet and Sahiba spent the night together. Ranveer wanted to get Sahiba back and in fury, he accidentally killed Jazz's father and put the blame on Daljeet. In order to release Daljeet, he assures Sahiba that he will get Daljeet released from the prison only if she marries him. Sahiba agrees and goes back with Ranveer to Punjab.

After reaching Punjab, Sahiba marries Ranveer. Daljeet came back and got to know about it and becomes angry, but found out that Sahiba did all that just because of him. Ranveer was trying to be a better person, because he truly loves Sahiba. On the marriage night, Sahiba did not let him come near her, but slowly started to believe him. Daljeet wanted revenge from Ranveer. Sahiba got to know that she is pregnant with Daljeet's child. In between, Beauty got married to Harvinder. Daljeet plans to get Sahiba back by calling Jazz to India. Ranveer is asked to choose between Jazz and her wealth or his family and Sahiba. He chooses his love Sahiba. Daljeet threw Sahiba and Ranveer out from their house because Daljeet was now a rich man. A new girl named Malika came as a good luck for Daljeet. Malika falls for Daljeet.

Ranveer got a job in the company where Daljeet was the boss. Daljeet gave him the tough job of working in sun while digging the soil. Daljeet's family called Ranveer's family for Lohri and after they came back from the function, Daljeet sent the police to Ranveer's house saying that Ranveer has stolen jewellery from his house, whereas Sahiba knows that he was with her during the whole function. The police beat Ranveer badly which led him to be in the hospital.

Daljeet discovers that Sahiba is pregnant with his child and he was overjoyed until Sahiba told him that now she is Ranveer's wife so the child will be known as Ranveer and Sahiba's. When Ranveer was discharged, Sahiba revealed to him that she was pregnant with Daljeet's child. He felt betrayed and avoided her for a few days. The family was happy to know that Sahiba was pregnant but they did not know that the father of the child was not Ranveer. Daljeet broke down and was on the verge of going insane so Sahiba promises to give him the child once it is born.

On Valentine's Day, Ranveer tells Sahiba that he was ready to accept her child because he is happy with anything that makes her happy. They were walking and a man was about to attack Ranveer, but Sahiba ran in front of him only to be hit in the stomach. Ranveer and Sahiba were both devestated to find out that Sahiba's child was no more. Sahiba later loses her baby and she does not have to courage to tell her family or Daljeet about it. When Sahiba breaks down because of her miscarriage, Ranveer consoles her and they consummate.

Unaware that Sahiba has lost the baby, Daljeet gives the house back to Ranveer and his family so that Sahiba can have a comfortable pregnancy. Ranveer sees Daljeet hugging Sahiba and realizes that Sahiba will never be able to love him so he decides to sacrifice his love for her happiness. At the same time, Daljeet takes Sahiba to the doctor for a check-up where she finds out that she is pregnant with Ranveer's baby. The next morning, Ranveer takes Sahiba to a place and calls Daljeet to the same location. He hands Sahiba the divorce papers and tells her she is free to return to Daljeet.

Sahiba gives him her sonography reports and reveals that she is pregnant. Ranveer is overjoyed to know this. Daljeet arrives at the scene and Ranveer tells him that he will never get the baby he is hoping for. Daljeet once again begins to break down thinking that Sahiba and Ranveer have decided to keep the baby. Sahiba is furious at Ranveer and refuses to ride home with him because if he would have revealed the truth to Daljeet, who knows what could have happened to Daljeet. Ranveer is angry at Sahiba for always thinking about Daljeet and ignoring his feelings.

Ranveer walks away and Sahiba yells his name while clasping onto her stomach. Riots are going on in their city and Ranveer somehow manages to get Sahiba to the hospital. She is admitted and the doctor says that they may not be able to save the mother or child if certain medicines are not brought within 30 minutes. Ranveer is searching for a pharmacy outside and asks a few men if they can take him to the nearest one.

The men bring him to a mental asylum under the illusion that he is a man named Chetan Pujara. A dead body is found along with some of Ranveer's belongings and the DNA reports confirm that the body is Ranveer's. Sahiba is unwilling to accept that Ranveer has died, but later accepts that she is now a widow. Ranveer tells the doctor that he is Ranveer Singh and has a pregnant wife named Sahiba, but the doctor does not believe him and thinks that Chetan has created an alternate imaginary identity for himself.

Days pass by, Daljeet tends to the needs of Ranveer's family, Sahiba blames herself for Ranveer's death and Ranveer begins to accept he is Chetan after being shocked numerous times. Ranveer continues to remember Sahiba and the doctor sees a sketch of Sahiba. She later sees Sahiba at a hospital and realizes that the man at the mental hospital is actually Ranveer Singh and not Chetan Pujara. Sahiba reluctantly agrees to marry Daljeet after seeing that her remarriage would make her family happy. On the same day, the doctor also manages to get Ranveer out of the hospital.

On the day of the engagement, Daljeet puts the ring on Sahiba's finger. Sahiba is slowly about to do the same but Ranveer arrives just in time. He yells Sahiba's name and faints. Everyone is shocked and Sahiba runs to her husband. Ranveer is in a very bad state and the family members insist they take him to the hospital, but Sahiba refuses to let Ranveer out of her sight. Daljeet hears this and is about to leave with his family when Sahiba returns the ring to him and leaves. Daljeet is once again heartbroken and asks God why He always takes his happiness away from him.

One week later, Sahiba is taking care of Ranveer and trying to help him recover. Ranveer frequently has nightmares about Sahiba dying by drowning. He sees a lady's face named Mehak in the dream and when she later comes to visit, he makes her leave immediately. Daljeet comes over and sees Sahiba consoling Ranveer. He reminds her that she has an appointment the next day but she says she will only go if Ranveer is fine tomorrow. Ranveer thanks Daljeet for taking care of his family during the time he was gone. Daljeet later goes to Sahiba's father to warn him about Ranveer. He says that Ranveer is mentally unstable and could be dangerous for Sahiba. Sahiba goes to take a shower the next day while everyone including Mehak is enjoying themselves downstairs.

Daljeet remembers what Ranveer said about his dream and calls Sahiba's house to check up on her. After receiving multiple premonitions about Sahiba drowning, Ranveer rushes home and Daljeet hears him yell Sahiba's name. Ranveer jumps into the flooded bathroom through a window and manages to save Sahiba. The doctor says Sahiba and her baby are fine and Ranveer saved her at the right moment. Daljeet is watching as everyone apologizes for not believing Ranveer when he told them about his nightmare. Sahiba makes Ranveer take his medicine and promises to never leave him when he says he fears losing her. The next morning, he sees another dream of Sahiba being attacked by fire this time.

Ranveer and Sahiba go to meet a professor/astrologer (Dr. Inderjeet) to inquire about the events occurring with Sahiba and Daljeet also reaches the same place. Dr. Inderjeet tells them that Sahiba is being attacked by the 5 earthly elements. This is occurring with her because of one of her relationships. The professor says that every time Ranveer sees a dream, Sahiba will be attacked by that element within 36 hours. He goes on to say that maybe true love is the only thing that may be able to conquer the fault in Sahiba's planetary positions. Daljeet recommends that Ranveer leave Sahiba but Ranveer says that any danger will have to face him before hurting his wife.

That night, Ranveer takes Sahiba with him to a field where no fire will be able to get to her. While they are there, Ranveer confesses his love for her and they dance together. A fire somehow starts and Ranveer manages to get Sahiba out of the ring of fire, however he himself gets stuck. Sahiba is yelling for Ranveer who insists she leaves without him, but she refuses and faints. Daljeet arrives and takes Sahiba with him. Ranveer goes to look for Sahiba the next morning but finds that she and Daljeet are both not at the house. Ranveer realizes he never should have trusted Ranveer and goes out to look for his wife. He sees another dream but is unable to understand what it means.

Sahiba wakes up and insists on going home to Ranveer upon finding out that Daljeet has brought her to some place. Daljeet refuses to let her go because he doesn't want to risk losing her or their baby. Sahiba replies that his baby is no more. She reveals that she is pregnant with Ranveer's child and Daljeet breaks down when he hears this. But he later says he will accept her with the child since Ranveer also was going to do the same with his child. Sahiba sends him out to get medicine and he locks the door. She tries looking for a way to escape.

Ranveer once again comes across some of the men from the mental asylum. One of the men, Bunty, says he will take Ranveer with him for sure this time as last time, the job was left incomplete and he did not receive his full payment. Ranveer finds out that someone had intentionally sent him to the mental hospital. Ranveer beats the men up and while running away, Bunty drops an envelope with Daljeet's name on it and the DNA report inside.

Ranveer is at a mandir when he realizes that Sahiba will be attacked by the sky. He somehow reaches the place where Sahiba is kept and yells her name. She hears this and yells his name back. Ranveer manages to get Sahiba out of the building and just as they are about to leave, Daljeet stops them and says he will not allow Ranveer to take her with him. He tells Sahiba not to trust Ranveer as he had already lied to her once to get her to marry him. Ranveer reveals that Daljeet was behind changing the DNA report which matched the dead body and led the family to believe that Ranveer was dead. Sahiba says that she knows Daljeet and he could never do such a thing. Ranveer further proves that Daljeet was the one who paid Bunty to capture him and keep him in the mental asylum.

Sahiba is angry and screams at Daljeet saying that he has wronged her and her family. She says that although she was living with Ranveer, Daljeet was always the one living in her heart but not anymore. He has destroyed the love she had for him. She tells Ranveer let's leave from here and go home. They both leave. Daljeet says to himself that he did all this for Sahiba and blame god for it.

Sahiba and Ranveer reach home everyone are happy to see Sahiba but are shocked to see Ranveer hurt so badly. Everyoune are confused but Ranveer manages it. Then they see Sweety in their house Ranveer remembers about the argument that happened in Daljeets house and thinks that is why Sweety is in his house. Manmeet calls to Daljeet's house and vists them for the Baiasakhi. Ranveer also apologises to Daljeets mother. At night Sahiba thinks about what hapend Ranveer comes and tries to console Sahiba but when he sees her crying he excuses himself saying that he will sleep out. But finaly Ranveer consoles her by sharing their past moments. Next day Ranveer is thinking about Sahiba. Many guests have arrived they sing and dance during this time Daljeet and his family arrive.They also join the function. Daljeet apolojises for whatever he has done.

Roop goes to find some music CDs but she is unable too find which on are the music cd and which are not so she plays it one by one in Ranveers laptop. Roop calls Sahiba as the laptop has hanged. Daljeet tries to apologise but Sahiba refuses and goes to see the laptop but her mother calls her so she leaves saying Ranveer to lokk after it. Ranveer finds that the cd that was inserted in was the cd which contained the video of ranveer killing Mr.Pal. He thinks about for Sahiba and breaks the cd and throws it off. Dajeet gets those cd and starts to think about it sseing the label in it. During night Ranveer is worried about Sahibas who has a danger due to wind. He leaves to talk about it with his family maembers during this time gas leaks in the room in which Sahiba is. She breathes the poison gas and becomes unconscious and falls down; Ranveer comes and saves her in time.

Next day Daljeet comes to their house along with police to arrest Ranveer due to the murder case of Mr.Pal. Ranveer says Daljeet is lieing but accepts the truth. Sahiba cannot bare this so she says both of them to leave and says she can live alone with her child. Both Ranveer and Daljeet leave. Sahiba thinks about whatever happened and comes to a conclusion that all that happened happen because of her so she decides to die but shes saved by Daljeet. At night Sahiba comes to give food and water to Daljeet but she falls into a hole which is not covered. Next day everyone are searching for Sahiba. Ranveer has a nightmare about Sahiba calling for help for a deep hole. Daljeet goes out and searches for Sahiba and finds her inside a deep hole and tries to get her out. The issue is being telecasted in news channels which Ranveer sees from the jail.

Daljeet tries to get Sahiba out he gets a call so, he leaves he go meets Ranveer who asks him to take him out to save Sahibas life but Daljeet refuses and gets help from Ranveer and leaves to save Sahiba and leaves. Manmeet asks help to Ranveers father but he refuses and leaves to see Ranveer. Ranveer is taken to see his father. Ranveer asks his father to leave and not to save him and he provides a cell phone to Ranveer in order to direct Daljeet on his way to rescue Sahiba. Ranveer directs Daljeet over the call. Daljeet manages to rescue Sahiba after causing various hurdles of threat. Ranveer further enquires Daljeet about Sahiba.

He pleads Sahiba to meet him before he gets shifted to the London police. Sahiba disconnects the call while, Ranveer weeps thinking about her. Later Sahiba asks Daljeet to take her home so they leave. On the way Ranveer's mother see Sahiba and rushes towards her. Sahiba's family take her safely to home. Ranveer's father tricks the police and helps Ranveer to escape from the police. When Sahiba is thinking about Ranveer, Ranveer comes there and tells Sahiba how he escaped from the police with his fathers help. Sahiba didn't like what Ranveer has done at this time police arrives there and searches for Ranveer. They ask to Sahiba but she says he is not here and saves him from the police.

Ranveer comes and asks Sahiba,"Why did you lie to the police? you are in love with me Sahiba so you did this please Sahiba come with me we will go somewhere so far please Sahiba". Sahiba refuses even after her grandmother says her to go with Ranveer this angers Ranveer and leaves to Daljeets house. Sahiba to follows him but is unable to reach him. Ranveer reaches Daljeets house and starts to hit him. He takes Dalljeet in a car and leaves Kernel and Sahiba follow them but are unable to reach them. Ranveer and Daljeet have some arguments during that time the car is out of control so Ranveer pushes Daljeet out and he falls from a cliff along with the car.

They call the ambulance and take him to the hospital. In the hospital Ranveer leaves his last breath while saying Sahiba and thinking about her. The doctor informs this to them, their shocked to hear this Kernel says the police that his son died because of Daljeet but Sahiba refuses that and tells that it was just an accident. She leaves to see Ranveer but is stopped by Kernel. They do all the rituals for Ranveer and return home. Their the society speak bad about Sahiba cause she has saved Daljeet from the police even after Ranveer is dead. Six years later, Sahiba works in an all girls holy school in the name of Anu. Anu doesn't remember her past for some reason. But she still gets dreams about her past. Fateh appears in the picture as a guy who flirts with girls and doesn't respect them and is probably upper class.

Fateh is the son of the owner of the girls holy school where Anu is working. Fateh is invited by the school for some reason. Anu goes to give boque to Fateh but he doesn't mind that and goes. Mother superior tells Fateh that she used to call him as Bullu. Fateh is annoyed to avoid the talk he goes to see the property along with Anu. Fateh sees everything and give looks which annoys Anu. Anu tells Fateh that even though he knows everything about business he does not understand humans feelings and scolds him for his rude behavior. A girl starts to pray so Anu also starts to pray meanwhile Fateh leaves in anger. When Anu opens her eyes she find Fateh left cause of her. So She follows him and tries to ask him sorry but he leaves. Mother superior asks Fateh to give a speech, Fateh refuses but later accepts and apologises to the audience saying that he doesn't have time so he wants to leave soon and tells what Anu said he before that "he does not have any feelings for humans" and asks sorry to everyone including mother superior.
