Syed Saeed-ul-Hassan (b. 13 October 1961) is a Pakistani politician.[1] He was a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, representing the Pakistan Muslim League from 2002 to 2007.[1]
Syed was born in Lahore in 1961, the son of Syed Irshad Hussain.[1] He obtained his a first degree from the Government M.A.O College Lahore;[1] he was awarded an MA in Arabic in 1983 from the University of the Punjab.[1] He is married.[1]
It is claimed that his father died of illness in 1997, subsequently Syed took the holy oath and devoted his life to carry on the legacy of his father and grand-father, as well as teach the public about the religion of Islam.[citation needed]
Syed was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in the 2002 General Election,[1] representing PP-132 (Narowal-I).[1] He was appointed Minister for Religious Affairs and Auqaf on 24 November 2003.[1] He ceased to be a member of the Assembly in 2007.[1]
Syed resides in Darbar-e-Alia, Chirghia Peer Colony, Walton, Lahore.[1]
