Nowshehra or Naushera is a town and a notified area committee in Rajauri district in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.

As of 2011 India census, Nowshera had a population of 9,122. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Nowshera has an average literacy rate of 79%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 82%, and female literacy is 76%. In Nowshera, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age. A beautiful village 'Bagnoti' come under the juridiction of nowshera.The village is known for its rich cultural and civilised society and the village is also known for his greenry of mountains and the irrigation facilities to the farmers.Electercity and PHE water supply is used by every household in the village.
