Nabatieh Governorate (Arabic: محافظة النبطية, Muḥāfaẓat an Nabaṭīya) is one of the six governorates of Lebanon. The area of this governorate is 1,058 km². The capital is Nabatieh.
Districts
The governorate is divided into four districts (Aqdiya, singular qadaa) containing 115 municipalities. The capitals are in brackets:
- Nabatiyeh (Nabatiyeh) - 38 municipalities
- Marjeyoun (Marjeyoun) - 19 municipalities
- Hasbaya (Hasbaya) - 26 municipalities
- Bint Jbeil (Bint Jbeil) - 36 municipalities
Religion in Nabatieh Governorate
Shia makes the majority with 68.69%; Christians makes the second most with 16.35%; Sunni makes the third with 11.21%; Druze are the last with 3.75%[citation needed].
