Maria Quiban (born Maria T. Aviso) is a weather anchor for KTTV-TV in Los Angeles, California. She studied journalism at the University of Hawaii.[1] Prior to being an anchor in Los Angeles, she was the weather anchor for Hawaii's NBC affiliate KHNL-TV. Quiban has appeared in numerous television shows and films playing a reporter including Bruce Almighty, Cold Case, Everybody Hates Chris and Criminal Minds.
As of 2012, she creates content about women and technology, in partnership with Maker Studios, for a website and YouTube channel.[2]
Personal
She married and was a teenage mother. In 1987 she and her husband had son Desmond.[3][4] With her third husband[5] Sean she had son Gus in december 2010.[6] She has two children one that is a one year old boy, and another boy age 25.[when?] She spends her free time talking to single young mothers about how they can be successful.
