  • Valerie Morelock, murdered on the LSU campus in 1972. Her mother, Jasmine Morelock-Field, has written the inspriation book, Valerie in her memory. Available through Sarah Hudson-Pierce's Ritz Publications in Shreveport, Valerie turns a tragedy into a story of hope by placing all trust in God. Morelock-Field was interviewed in 2013 on Rick Rowe's Promise of Hope program by KTBS-TV, the ABC outlet in Shreveport.[52]
