The Laredo Lemurs are a professional baseball team based in Laredo, Texas that plays in the independent American Association since 2012. The team plays their home games at Uni-Trade Stadium in Laredo, replacing the Laredo Broncos of United League Baseball.[1]
History
The franchise was formerly based in Shreveport, Louisiana as the Shreveport-Bossier Captains. Following the 2011 season, the franchise was purchased by a new group of investors based in Laredo, who announced that the team would move for the 2012 season.[2]
