Kowloon Shangri-La (Chinese: 九龍香格里拉酒店) is a five-star hotel of the Hong Kong based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts group (Chinese: 香格里拉酒店集團) group. It is located on Mody Road in Tsim Sha Tsui East overlooking Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong Island skyline. It is the sister hotel to the Island Shangri-La in Admiralty district, Hong Kong.
History
The hotel opened in 1981 and was managed by Westin until April 1991, thereafter Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts assumed management of the hotel till today.
Facilities
Fine dining facilities includes the two-Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant Shang Palace, received in the Michelin Guide's inaugural 2009 Hong Kong and Macau edition.[1]
In 2010, the Kaiseki cuisine Japanese fine dining restaurant, Nadaman, was listed along with its sister outlet at the Island Shangri-La, as the 'Best Japanese restaurant' on the Hong Kong Best Eats 2010 list complied by CNN Travel in 2010.[2]
