Kaminiikawa (上新川郡, Kaminiikawa-gun^?) was a district located in Toyama, Japan.

As of 2003, the district had an estimated population of 34,491 and a density of 53.31 persons per km². The total area was 646.98 km².

Towns and villages

On April 1, 2005 the towns of Ōsawano and Ōyama were merged with the towns of Fuchū and Yatsuo, the villages of Hosoiri and Yamada, all from Nei District, and the old city of Toyama to form the new city of Toyama. Therefore, Kaminiikawa District and Nei District were dissolved as a result of this merger.
