Africa
Praise FM is partnered with Spirit FM, a network of five stations in Africa: three in Ghana, and two in Uganda. The Uganda stations also reach into the war-torn nation of Sudan to the north. There is another station in the process of being built in Sudan. Praise FM contributes programming specially produced for broadcast on Spirit FM.
History
KNOF 95.3
Revs. Fred and Grace Adam founded KNOF 95.3 in August 1960 broadcasting Christian programming to the Twin Cities area.
In 2007, Fred Adams having died several years earlier, Grade Adams gave KNOF to North Central University as a gift. At the end of August 2007, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approved the transfer of effective control of Selby Gospel Broadcasting Corporation with the simultaneous resignation of Rev Grace Adam and assignment of board members from North Central University.[1]
In 2008, PraiseFM began broadcasting its station on 95.3 MHz KNOF in the Twin Cities forming a partnership with North Central University. The studio is located North Central University campus in downtown Minneapolis in the former Comm Arts building .[2]
