Juan Carlos González Zamora (born June 24, 1968) is a FIDE chess Grandmaster from Mexico (he was born in Cuba but has Mexican citizenship). As of April 2008, he is one of only four Mexican FIDE Grandmasters, with a FIDE rating of 2544, placing him second in Mexico after Gilberto Hernández Guerrero. In the July 2008 FIDE rating list he has 2559 points (above Gilberto Hernández Guerrero).
He has won plenty of tournaments in Mexico and has participated in international tournaments. He has been Mexican chess champion several times.
