Jason Claspell

Jason Ryan Claspell, also known as Jason Claspell started his career in news around 2005. Since then he's traveled around the world to cover everything from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, to the earthquake in Haiti. Jason was nominated for an Emmy in 2007 for a story he did on Afghanistan.
He was first a reporter for Fox 7 News, now known as Local 7 News. He left Indiana in 2010 for South Carolina. Jason, co-anchor of Good Morning Carolinas, joins NewsChannel 15 from the midwest.
Jason graduated from Vincennes University in 2005. When he's not at work, Jason loves spending time with his wife and three children. The Claspell's also have a rescue dog named Pepper.
Jason loves morning news. Whether the news is hard hitting or light hearted, Jason's goal is to bring viewers the most up-to-date information about the stories they care about. He says making people laugh or smile in the mornings is a great bonus to that.
Good Morning Carolina's is hosted by anchors Holly Morgan, Jason Claspell and meteorologist Darren Stack.
Personal life
Jason lives in South Carolina with his wife and his dog named Pepper.
