Jackie Drayton is a serving Labour Party member of Sheffield City Council representing Burngreave ward. She was the 110th Lord Mayor of Sheffield, serving for the customary one year in 2006-07. She was preceded by Roger Davison and succeeded by Arthur Dunworth.
Personal
Jackie was born in Coventry; she has lived since 1979 in the Burngreave area of Sheffield and since 1997 has been a member of Sheffield City Council as councillor (Labour) for Burngreave Ward.
Having left school at 16 with no qualifications, Drayton took adult education classes followed by a degree in Education at the University of Warwick. She worked in education for over 25 years.
Her husband is Ian Drayton, currently Partnership Manager for SOAR, the Southey and Owlerton Area Regeneration Partnership. They have three sons and three daughters.[1]
