Jürg Schubiger

Jürg Schubiger

Jürg Schubiger (born 1936 Zurich) is a Swiss children's writer, and psychotherapist. He won the 2008 Hans Christian Andersen Award.[1] In 1996, he won the German Children’s Literature Prize for Als die Welt noch jung war.[2]

Life

He grew up in Winterthur, Switzerland. He graduated from the University of Zurich in German Studies, Psychology and Philosophy.[3] He wrote his PhD thesis on Franz Kafka. He lives in Zurich.
