IEEE Intelligent Systems is a bimonthly peer-reviewed academic journal published by the IEEE Computer Society and sponsored by the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence. Cosponsors are the British Computer Society and the European Coordinating Committee for Artificial Intelligence.
The journal was established in 1990 as IEEE Expert and subsequently changed its name to IEEE Intelligent Systems & Their Applications in 1997 and finally to the current name in 2001.[citation needed]
