Hervé Mamadov Lamizana (born January 22, 1981 in Côte d'Ivoire) is a professional basketball player who also has French citizenship. He recently played for Shangdong Lions from the Chinese Basketball Association in the 2006/07 season.
Lamizana played for the St. Patrick's basketball team in high school in Elizabeth, New Jersey, for Rutgers University in college. He was not selected in the NBA Draft. In the 2003–2004 season at Rutgers he achieved 102 blocks and pulled down 252 rebounds. During his career at Rutgers, Lamizana was known[by whom?] for his talent and athleticism for his size, but also his lack of fire and consistency.
His first professional team outside of the United States was in Turkey with Turk Telekom Ankara, with whom he signed on September 2004 . Later that season he moved to Israel and played for Hapoel Galil Elyon.
In 2011 is playing in Puerto Rico with the team Indios Mayaguez. In his first game catch 9 rebounds and 12 points.
As of 2013 Herve is playing for the Yulon Luxgen Dinos of the Super Basketball League, the professional basketball league in Taiwan. He was named MVP in the month of January, 2013 after averaging 20.7 points, 12.2 rebounds, 3.2 blocks, and leading his team to a 4-2 record.
