According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 35.9 square miles (93 km2), of which, 34.9 square miles (90 km2) of it is land and 1.0 square mile (2.6 km2) of it (2.87%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 221 people, 85 households, and 69 families residing in the township. The population density was 6.3 people per square mile (2.4/km²). There were 93 housing units at an average density of 2.7/sq mi (1.0/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 100.00% White.
There were 85 households out of which 34.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 77.6% were married couples living together, and 18.8% were non-families. 15.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.60 and the average family size was 2.90.
