Galerella is a genus of mongooses native to Africa commonly called the slender mongooses.[1]
There are four species in this genus:[1]
- Angolan slender mongoose, Galerella flavescens
- Somalian slender mongoose, Galerella ochracea
- Cape gray mongoose, Galerella pulverulenta
- Slender mongoose, Galerella sanguinea
- Black mongoose, Galerella nigrata, is sometimes considered a separate species.
