Francis J. Bloustein

Francis J. Bloustein (May 17, 1906 - May 16, 1984) was a New York Supreme Court justice. He was the brother of Edward J. Bloustein.[1]

Bloustein, a retired State Supreme Court justice, died Wednesday at his home in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. He was 77 years old. After a long career as a lawyer for the city and as a planning official, Justice Bloustein was elected to Supreme Court in 1966. He was soon at the center of three illegal strikes by the United Federation of Teachers that kept a million children out of classes for 36 days.
