Forship is a Brazilian business group, present in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Focusing in commissioning and operability, the group provides engineering services for the oil & gas, marine, energy, petrochemical, and mining sectors.
The business was founded in 1998 by Fabio Fares, who identified the lack of sound structured methodology and tools to manage and execute the commissioning activities of complex industrial projects. Since then, Forship has participated in a significant part of the major oil & gas projects in Brazil, expanding its activities also to the energy, petrochemical and mining segments.
Consolidating its international presence, Forship launched in 2006 Forship Asia operations, based on Singapore, and covering the Asian and Middle East markets.
Since 2000 Forship is a member of SOBENA, the Brazilian Society of Marine Engineering. In 2006 Forship received the ISO 9001 certificate in Commissioning Management, from DNV. In 2008 Forship became active member of CE-EPC, a Brazilian non-profit entity gathering operators, EPC companies, service providers, normative entities and universities, aiming to develop and share best practices for EPC projects. CE-EPC main goal is to associate the Brazilian industry in a competitive and sustainable way to the global EPC network in the oil & gas and energy markets.
