This picture is in the same article as one with this caption: A Chinese POW about to be beheaded by a Japanese officer using a shin-guntō and it appears to be the same photograph, just mirror image and cropped. I don't see any validity to the caption, as this sword is not mentioned in the article and the event is under contention.
