Licensing edit

I didn't actually create this image (I just scanned it). It was created by Queer Nation, but has not been copyrighted and consists of only text. Is there a better license for it? -- Irn (talk) 03:27, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I asked this question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions and got this response, so I've changed it, but I'm still not sure about the "no original creative authorship" aspect. -- Irn (talk) 03:17, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sticker Licensing Response: Daniel Paiz, Steve Mehall and I (Mark Duran) started Queer Nation/San Francisco in June 1990. I was responsible for the advertising the first meeting. I was working at PC World and Macworld at the time as the lead typesetter and had just received a big box of assorted Avery Laser Printer stickers, so I used those to create the initial advertising for the kick-off. We stickered everywhere in San Francisco. We rented a room at the Women's Building on Valencia street and expected 20 or so people to show up. 300 people came and they all wanted stickers, so I obliged them and eventually designed dozens of different kinds of stickers. I created masters sheets with 8 to 10 stickers on each page and copied them on to Florescent Crack and Peel Sticker Paper, using Macworld's new copiers. We cranked them out by the 1000s and gave them all away. Later that autumn we included them in the Queer Nation Helper Kit (a take off of the Hamburger Helper box) and distributed them to anyone who wanted them. At the time, they were spotted everywhere, including the Vatican, the Bolshoi, and even hand drawn versions in little Guatemalan villages. Looking back on it now, I have to say that it was my shining moment. As the creator of the design, I give everyone the right to use the image/design as they see fit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.102.249.146 (talk) 21:52, 3 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
