Opening a discussion on proposing a more suitable image for Plastic Ono Band based upon the following observation: The general concept of Plastic Ono Band offered (and theoretically continues to offer) an 'open participation'. A personnel is not implied and the current picture depicts a grouping which lasted for a ONE day event, contrary to an attached text on the image which says it represents 'the band at their peak'. The characterisation of Plastic Ono Band is the problem here. It is closer to an art project than a band per se and this is only becoming more problematic as the current incarnations based around Yoko and Sean Lennon continue. I am interested in substituting a suitable version of Apple's original promotional image for Plastic Ono Band, an advert/illustration which included or was accompanied by the slogan 'YOU are the Plastic Ono Band', which showed a sculpture deigned by Lennon/Ono intended to encapsulate the concept. While the current image may meet the desired standard in helping a researcher/viewer identify that they have found the right Wikipedia page, the currently requested improvements might attempt to use an image which calls for closer examination of the concept of Plastic Ono Band. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Michaelk xsx (talkcontribs) 21:39, 20 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
