Poor quality resolution

Yet again, I see someone reducing it to an unusable thumbnail size - the original was already web resolution, and satisfied fair use (a screenshot for critical commentary isn't going to deprive them of any ability to sell the game). Didn't realize the box on file upload was supposed to be just an edit summary. Here's what I wrote, which belongs here instead:

Replaced absolutely useless and confusing visual garbage (which was the result of drastically downscaling image *apparently without any interpolation* and then using lower-quality jpeg compression) with an image which actually can be seen to represent something.

Note that the original screenshot (800x600) was already at web resolution, and it couldn't be used for any meaningful copyright infringement; it would probably be OK NFCC-wise to retain the original. Instead, I've scaled it down to 2/3 its orig. resolution using Lanzcos interpolation; I think that anything significantly smaller would be useless. If someone really feels this version doesn't qualify as fair use they ought to nominate this file for deletion rather than upload another useless version.
