Missing pieces? edit

What is the significance of the omission of 11, 12, 13, and 14, and why is the area north of Cologne numbered 15 while being stuck under Dutch 1-4, and having its own (unexplained) color altogether?

The dialects of the area marked 15 are regarded by some as being part of Dutch, whereas others lump them together with Limburgish and treat the whole lot as a separate language. Since there was for many centuries a dialect continuum across the whole area, we shall never get full agreement about such details. The dialect continuum has tended to break down in more recent times, as the modern world tends to drag regional varieties towards national norms, thus causing national borders to tend to become linguistic boundaries.
I have my own niggle. There are two areas numbered 5. The one in the south-west Netherlands is no doubt meant to be Zeelandic, which does not appear in the list of dialects. LynwoodF (talk) 21:05, 26 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Wrong city positions edit

This might be insignificant but location of Bratislava is off. Also I doubt extent of german speaking minorities in Hungary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.216.188.17 (talk) 22:46, 14 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

The Ukraine-Belarus border is also noticeably wrong. 77.70.30.216 (talk) 00:07, 31 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

5 - Dutch Low Saxon is marked in the Rhine delta edit

5 - Dutch Low Saxon is marked twice - the second time in the Rhine delta. From what I can see, it makes zero sense.--Adûnâi (talk) 17:11, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
